Kerry McRorie

Intern Therapist

B.Ed., M.Ed., MACP (candidate), RP (Qualifying)

Kerry is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Meadowbrook Counselling Associates (supervised by Joey Crump B.R.E., B.A. (Hons), M.S.W., R.S.W.). She is in the process of completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, holds a Master
of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education from the University of Toronto (O.I.S.E), a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Family and Child Studies) from the University of Guelph.

Kerry has experience as a classroom teacher, a facilitator of mental health programs for students and parents, and a parenting coach. Her approach to counselling is strength-based and person-centred, and she strives to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment.

Kerry brings a 20-year lived experience with chronic pain to her work with clients and believes that resiliency can be found and built upon through the therapeutic process. She has training in social and emotional learning (SEL), certification in trauma-focused CBT, and has completed CADDRA’s Introduction to ADHD for Healthcare Professionals.

Kerry loves hiking, baking, spending time with family and friends, and curling up with a good book. Kerry is married with two children.
